Overview

Hands Down Handyman ("we," "us," "our") operates handsdownhandymanofsj.com (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, or by hiring us for work, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site or our services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version is always posted on this page, and your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.

1. Who We Are and What We Provide

Hands Down Handyman provides handyman, repair, and property-maintenance services for homes and small commercial properties in South Jersey. The Site itself is informational: it describes our services, hosts content, and lets visitors call us or request a free estimate. We do not sell products through the Site.

The specific scope, price, and timing of any job are set out in the written estimate you approve before work begins. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and an approved estimate, the estimate controls for that job.

2. Estimates and Work

Estimates are free and are based on what we can see at the time of the visit. If a job turns out to involve more than the estimate covered — for example, damage that was hidden behind a wall or under a floor — we will tell you before doing the additional work, and it proceeds only with your approval. Some work requires a license we do not hold; in those cases we may bring in a licensed subcontractor and coordinate the work, and we will tell you when that applies.

3. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, its systems, or its networks;
• Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
• Scrape, harvest, or collect information about other users;
• Use the Site to harass, abuse, defame, or harm others;
• Interfere with or circumvent the security or operation of the Site.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Site for anyone who violates these Terms.

4. Intellectual Property

The content on the Site — including text, design, graphics, logos, photographs, and code — is owned by Hands Down Handyman or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without our written permission.

5. Reviews, Submissions and Feedback

If you send us feedback, photos of a job, or other materials — through the Site, by email or text, or otherwise — you agree that we may use them to respond to you and to operate our business, and, where you have given permission, to show the work we do. Reviews quoted on the Site are reproduced from public review platforms with the reviewer's first name and last initial only.

6. Third-Party Links and Tools

The Site may link to or integrate third-party websites, services, or tools that we do not control — such as Google, Facebook, or WhatsApp. We provide these for convenience and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Your use of any third-party service is subject to that third party's own terms and policies, and is at your own risk.

7. No Warranties (Site)

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that information on it is accurate, complete, or current. Any reliance on Site content is at your own risk.

This Section 7 governs the Site. Any warranty on work we perform is stated on the approved estimate for that job.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hands Down Handyman and its owner, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hands Down Handyman and its owner, employees, contractors, and agents from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or use of the Site will be subject to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New Jersey.

11. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with any policies posted on the Site and any approved estimate, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
